Pilger NE June 16, 2014 Dual tornadoes cross the road in what looked like an elegant dance as the closer one would orbit around and eventually merge with the other. Look at that shadow on the road!

“Peaceful Tornado” – It’s a rare thing these days to see a tornado without hordes of other chasers jamming the roads — especially on a High Risk day. But that’s what happened on May 24, 2011 near Fairview OK. We saw perhaps one other vehicle pass on this road, as we watched this thin rope tornado for several minutes amidst the singing birds and tornado sirens from the nearby town.

My 1st “omg” lightning bolt capture on a 6 hr storm intercept from central KS to OKL last year in July here near Wichita,KS, still remains to be one of my favorite amateur photos, even though it was shot thru the dirty windshield because the lightning was wicked enough to keep me in the car at the time….

Congrats Everyone!
