1st tornado near Rozel, KS on May 18th 2013. It was later rated EF4. Unfortunately it hit and damaged a farm house, but luckily no one was hurt seriously. It was a tricky shot against the setting sun.

A photo from yesterday north of Pittsworth, QLD Australia. This storm was severe warned for over 6 hours and had a history of producing hail up to the size of cricket balls and wind that was strong enough to do some minor roof damage.

 – Storm season 2015 is on the way -The days get longer and the sun get stronger. This means, that the storm season will start soon.
Me and my team Stormchasers Rhein Main are excited what to expect from the Year 2015.We hope that thunderstorms will not hit densely populated areas and cause disasters like on 28.07.2013 over Swabian Jura (see the picture). As a reminder:28.07.2013 – A Hailstorm caused € 3,6 billion, making it the most expensive hailstorm in the history of Germany.

Intercepting severe warned thunderstorms on the Eastern Darling Downs yesterday afternoon with friends on Australia Day! (26.01.2015). I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate the day other than chasing a true blue thunderstorm! This event caused damage to a couple of shed’s in Pittworth with golf-ball sized hail near Leyburn.

I’ve been looking back through some old photos throughout the last couple of years and I came across the first tornado that I ever captured on camera. Taken on May 29, 2013 near Clay Center, Nebraska. Went on to see four more tornadoes after this one.
